Noon Year's Eve

For kids 10 and under on December 31 come and celebrate noon years eve at the YMCA. 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Face Painting, jump castles, refreshments, count down to noon for the kids that won't be able to stay up until midnight. Balloon stomp at 12:00
Bring the kids for a fun countdown to the new year. $2 per child.

Holiday Bazaar

Come to the YMCA for our first Holiday Bazaar.
Saturday Dec. 5 and Sunday Dec. 6
Saturday have breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 8-10 am
Santa comes back at 2 on Saturday for story time.

Saturday bazaar runs from 9 am to 4 pm
Sunday bazaar runs from 12 - 4 pm

Join local vendors, artisans and crafters who have unique gifts just in time for the Holiday season.
We will have carolers, musicians, food court, kids events with shopping store, story time, face painting, cake and treat walk, and more!

Thanksgiving Day

Cheyenne Family YMCA is open from 8-12 on Thanksgiving Day. Bring your family for the rn class Turkey Burn class from 8-9:30 or water exercise class from 9-10. The YMCA is open from 8-12 Thanksgiving Day!

Presidents Club Dinner

The Cheyenne Family YMCA held its first annual President's Club Dinner on November 11, 2009. The Presidents Club members include Past YMCA Board Presidents that support the YMCA in its endevors both financially and extended leadership.
At the dinner the YMCA presented 2 YMCA members with Lifetime Membership Awards. The first to Earle Deardon, he has been a YMCA member for over 35 years. The second award to Jennie Joannides, who has been a YMCA member for 67 years.
Congratulations to Earle and Jennie!

Tackle Football Program

The championship game will be played Tuesday, November 3 at 5:45 p.m. at Okie.

The championship is between the Seminoles and Wheatland. Come by ans watch the YMCA kids play.

Tickets are now on sale for Ladies Fall Extravaganza. Event is on November 14 from 5 - 8 pm. Boot Barn fashion show to end the great night.

Ladies Fall Extravaganza

We are excited to announce our upcoming Ladies Fall Extravaganza, Saturday, November 14 from 5 – 8 pm. Event highlights will include speakers, wellness demonstrations, spa treatments (massages and facials), vendors, raffles, food, and a fashion show.

Summer Food Program

The Summer Food Program and the Bus Program starts today!!

Bus schedule:
The Bus” is a FREE, adult-supervised program for grades K-6th. Activities include sports and games, nature activities, outdoor activities, arts and craft projects, science adventures, a summer reading program and many more fun activities.
A free lunch is served at each site.

Wyoming Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports

The Governor's Council will be in Cheyenne at Holiday Park today from 9 am to 2 pm.

Ed Carleo is retiring from the YMCA

Ed Carleo has been at the Cheyenne Family YMCA for 31 years. He has decided to retire and have more time for fun and games, not that there was not plently of that at the YMCA!!

There is a community open house today at the YMCA from 8 am to 5 pm. Come and wish Ed well in his retirement and stay for some snacks.

Armadillo Racing!

Ever seen armadillos race?? At this year's NAYDO conference in Dallas, Texas we had the opportunity to witness this crazy event. Check out the vidoe of the live armadillo racing. The things you see sometimes!!

NAYDO Conference

Returned from the NAYDO conference with many new ideas. The conference is great. Met many new people from YMCA's all over the country. There were also many from other countries. Going to work on now implementing some new ideas that were discussed at the conference at the Cheyenne Family YMCA. Look for changes and new ideas emerging from this grat conference.

Heading off to the NAYDO conference in Dallas tomorrow. A great conference that provides an opportunity to meet many other people that work for the YMCA and generate ideas for successful fundraising.

2009 Annual Campaign HUGE Success - Because of You!

The Cheyenne Family YMCA 2009 Annual Support Campaign wrapped up Thursday night with a highly attended Victory Party in Cheyenne.

The YMCA set a goal of $100,000 for this campaign, and exceeded the goal by $15,000.

Thank you to all who contributed!

We are very pleased with this result as we understand donations to community organizations and non-profits are down nationwide. Those of you who contributed and continually support the Cheyenne Family YMCA in these lean times are so important to what we do, and we thank you for your generosity.
